How your data is stored

How is your data stored?

Your data is stored in our secure Azure servers based in the UK South. All the data is secured through 256-bit AES encryption that is always on and cannot be turned off.

Network level security: HTTPS prevents websites from having their information broadcast in a way that’s easily viewed by anyone snooping on the network. With HTTPS, traffic is encrypted.

Data level: User passwords are encrypted within the database.

Amity protects data in transit in 3 ways:

1. Transport from user to the web server is via Letsencrypt provided certificate, encrypted (RSA 2048 bits (SHA256withRSA) with Extended Validation and HSTS enforcement.

2. Servers are in a virtual network in Microsoft's Azure cloud. The only access to the data is from the configured Public IP through REST API. This virtual network protects against malicious hacking attempts and provides uptime and business continuity guarantees.

3. Internal communication between servers and databases within the VNet uses TLS protocol with RSA 2048 bits (SHA256withRSA) encryption.
